2012 Holiday Donation

Dear Friends and Family,

This holiday season finds Parents of Autistic Children of Oregon (POAC of Oregon) starting two large projects. The first is a collaborative website for creating and field testing curriculum(1). The site is ready for the assessment tool we are in the midst of developing. The second is an iPad math fact app which is ready to be tested in the classroom(2). This App was overhauled by a very talented programmer, Chris Vanderschuere, at no cost to POAC of Oregon!

For 2013, we need your help to continue this work. With your donations we can:

1. Continue developing free online autism early learner assessment tools – we are on track to finish a working tool by the end of 2013.

2. Purchase 3 used iPads for testing the math fact app in a classroom.

3. Begin developing free pre-school curriculum to help students with autism learn to talk, ask question, answer question, and interact with the world around them.

With Christmas around the corner, some families are looking at alternative gift giving methods.

Why not suggest giving to a nonprofit? Any amount is helpful. All contributions tell the IRS, "Yes! POAC of Oregon should keep its nonprofit status because the public is willing to contribute to something that is needed."

So please join us in building the most progressive educational development and information center in the country. Your gift is about empowering parents and improving the lives of children with disabilities in Oregon.

Thank you for your support and generosity.

Most sincerely,

Katalin Pusztavari
